Meaningful Membership

Are you interested in social and spiritual engagement in a community of progressive minds and caring connections?  Are you in sympathy with the principles of freedom and reason in religion and life?  If you are, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Franklin, North Carolina (UUFF) may be the place for you.

Membership in the Franklin Fellowship calls each of us to pursue our own intellectual and spiritual paths in a faith community where we support one another. Joining our Fellowship can be as simple as signing a membership application in affirmation of the principles and practices which guide Unitarian Universalism.  New members are urged, however, to make their liberal religion visible by showing their commitment to their congregation in many ways.

Members are asked to participate in the life of the congregation by finding places for spiritual growth, nurture and service, by practicing generosity, and sharing what they’ve found at UUFF with others.  Our brochures Searching for a Liberal Religious Home?  and Becoming a Member of UUFFNC describe more fully what you can expect as a member.

Becoming a Member

The path to membership begins with our orientation workshop designed to give you a  good grounding in the basics of Unitarian Universalism and UUFF and provide an opportunity to meet current members as well as getting to know others who are considering joining.  Orientations are held periodically and are followed by a simple joining ceremony during worship services.

The Membership Committee will be pleased to meet you and answer any questions you may have.  You may also contact us.  We look forward to hearing from you!
