Cecil Bothwell is author of 20 books, has addressed secular audiences and UU congregations in 26 cities in a dozen states and outlined our driverless future at TEDx Hickory and PechaKucha Asheville. His writing exposed evangelist Billy Graham’s love of war and launched an investigation that sent Buncombe County Sheriff Bobby Lee Medford to die in federal prison. For the past 11 years he has cleaned the turtle tanks at the WNC Nature Center every Friday—without fail. He’s canoed parts of most major river systems in North America and expectantly scanned the waters of Loch Ness.
